Cannelloni with spinach and cream cheese
This is a dish all children love. It combines pasta for energy, milk and cheese for calcium, and spinach for iron.
Ingredients
- 1 packet cannelloni - 250 grams
- 3/4 kg spinach
- 4 cups various grated cheeses
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon dill, finely chopped
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 cup evaporated milk
- Salt and pepper
For the sauce:
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 3 glasses milk
- 1 tablespoon butter
Preparation
- Sauté the spinach in a pot with olive oil for 10 minutes.
- Add 2 ½ cups of the grated cheese, milk, salt, dill and pepper, remove from heat and allow to cool.
- Fill the cannelloni with the mixture and place them next to each other to a Pyrex dish.
- In a pot melt the butter, add the flour and slowly pour the milk, stirring constantly.
- Pour the sauce on the cannelloni along with 1 cup grated cheese.
- Cover the cannelloni with tin foil so that they do not get burnt.
- Cook in the oven at 200 degrees for 35 minutes.
- Remove the foil, sprinkle with ½ cup grated cheese and bake for another 5-10 minutes, taking care that they are not cooked to dry.
- Serve warm
