Yoghurt with apple
This recipe combines yoghurt, a good source of calcium, with stewed apple which offers a variety of vitamins and a pleasant and naturally sweet taste. It can be used in the early stages of the child's introduction to solid foods.
Ingredients
- 1 apple, peeled and sliced
- ½ cup water
- 1 cup full fat yoghurt
Preparation
- In a small pot, put the apple and water to boil together. Simmer for 10 minutes, until the apple becomes very soft.
- Mash the apple in a blender and let it cool.
- In a bowl mix the yoghurt with the apple puree.
