Veggie-burgers for children
Burgers are yet another red meat option. Yet, they do have a particularity. They can be your Trojan Horse for the introduction of vegetables in the “castle” of children, without them ever knowing. Try adding enough vegetables and you will see that they will be a very pleasant meal for children. Vegetables can hardly be detected, while at the same time burgers become juicier.
Ingredients
- 750 grams minced meat
- 1 small onion, grated
- 1 tablespoon parsley, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons oats
- 1 small tomato, grated
- 1 courgette, grated
- 1 carrot, grated
- 1 egg
- ¼ cup olive oil
- 1 teaspoon vinegar
- Salt and pepper
Preparation
- Grate all vegetables on the grater and “squeeze” them to remove excessive fluids; then mix all ingredients.
- Knead well, moistening your hands regularly. Make 5-6 burgers. Do not make them small. Although they may require longer to cook, the bigger you form them, the juicer they become.
- Put in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
- Bake for 7-8 minutes on each side.
- Serve with cherry tomatoes and cucumbers or tender lettuce leaves
