Yoghurt with apple

This recipe combines yoghurt, a good source of calcium, with stewed apple which offers a variety of vitamins and a pleasant and naturally sweet taste.  It can be used in the early stages of the child's introduction to solid foods.
 

Ingredients
  • 1 apple, peeled and sliced
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 cup  full fat yoghurt
     
Preparation
  • In a small pot, put the apple and water to boil together. Simmer for 10 minutes, until the apple becomes very soft.
  • Mash the apple in a blender and let it cool.
  • In a bowl mix the yoghurt with the apple puree.
