11th-month

11th month of development

In the eleventh month ...

What it can do at the end of the 11th month of life:
•    It can sit up from lying down.
•    It can grip a tiny object with its index finger and thumb and lift it.
•    It understands what "no" means, although it does not always obey.
•    It can walk by holding on to furniture.
•    It examines a toy or an object before it puts it in its mouth.
•    It imitates sounds it hears from other people.

Attention! All children are different from each other and each one has its own growth rate. The development stages described are based on the average rate. Do not worry if your baby deviates from this average. If however you do notice something worrying in its development, contact your pediatrician.
