Rice and lentil mash

Lentils are a vegetable protein source. At the same time, they provide significant quantities of soluble natural fibres, which improve bowel movement in children suffering from constipation. Furthermore, they are a good solution for the days when you cannot include meat or fish in the infant's diet or you need to keep the meal in the fridge for more days.
 

Ingredients
  • 1/3 cup rice
  • 1/3 cup lentils
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 small apple
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
     
Preparation
  • Bring enough water to the boil in a pot and add the rice and lentils. Simmer until soft.
  • In another pot, cover the chopped carrot and apple with water and boil until soft. Keep the water.
  • Mix all foods in the food processor, use as much water necessary to achieve the desired texture and then mash them.
  • Add olive oil and mix it with a spoon.
