Diaper change and safety

To change your baby's diapers, you can use a piece of furniture - a diaper changing table or any surface covered with a changing towel.

Before you start changing the diaper, make sure you have near you everything you need. Remember, that you must not leave your baby unattended even for one second. Before you know it, it will be able to lie on its stomach and you should not be distracted, as it can easily fall either from the changing table, bench or bed and could be injured.

How to change your baby:
•    To begin with, make sure that before you start changing the diaper you have thoroughly washed your hands.
•    Remove the dirty diaper. Use a baby wipe to clean the baby's skin. Prefer products of soft texture and enriched with soothing plant extracts like chamomile and aloe, for soft and pure care. In baby girls, wipe from front to back.
•    Wash the sensitive area of the baby and its bottom in the bathroom with lukewarm water. If it has pooped, use a special gentle soap for better cleaning.
•    Wipe gently, dabbing the area with a towel.
•    To prevent irritation apply special baby cream or lotion on the area covered by the diaper, depending on your paediatrician's instructions. Place the clean diaper. To change the diaper you will need the following:
•    a clean diaper and clean clothes
•    baby wipes
•    warm water and cotton balls
•    special baby cream or lotion
•    bin liner to dispose of the dirty diaper
